The Sydney Carnival is starting to wind down but we’ve found a race worth betting into. Check out our Group 1 All Aged Stakes Preview!
A field of just ten runners but there is plenty of quality with form lines merging from two of Sydney’s premier races the 1600m Doncaster and the 1200m Darley TJ Smith.
Le Romain comes back to 1400m after a failed Doncaster attempt (above) as does Redkirk Warrior and McCreery while English was only just run down late by Chautauqua in one of the best wins in recent racing history.
Tivaci also comes out of the race above as does Japonisme and Voodoo Lad.
The rail is out 7m and the track is expected to once again be Heavy.
Jungle Edge has had three consecutive runs on the heavy and maps to get to the front with Le Romain likely sitting outside or just in behind.
Voodoo Lad and Redkirk Warrior to slot in behind while the rest will look to take up a spot with cover behind those.

Tivaci was so strong through the line in both the Newmarket and the TJ Smith and looks ready for 1400m here. The gap in the market between he and English considering the perfect trail English had in the TJ seems too large.
Le Romain looks like he is here on an afterthought from Kris Lees and looks a risk while Voodoo Lad loves the sting out and ran super in the TJ (only the winner ran a quicker final 600m).
Jungle Edge will ensure the race is run at a decent tempo and the ideal spot in running will likely be one off the fence two pairs back where the Mike Moroney-trained son of High Chapparal should be sitting.
Happy to be playing Tivaci at the $11 currently at Centrebet with something on Voodoo Lad as well.
Redkirk Warrior is next best and we’ll also have something on the three of them in a boxed quinella betting around the two favourites.
All the best if you’re having a punt over the Easter Weekend.
