Welcome to the Punting Stars Sandown Park Greyhound tips and preview for Thursday’s main meeting in Victoria.
Tips and assessment provided by Matt Lanigan.
Another cracking night of racing awaits us tonight at Sandown Park with plenty of hot races but we believe we have found a few nice priced winners.
Last weeks Sandown results were the case of being so close yet so far. Our quaddie we were alive coming into the last leg but unfortunately went down by half a length to fall just short of a return of $412 from our $72 spent. We also had our each way bet lead all the way except past the post as it finished 2nd paying $1.60 a place. Our best bet and best roughie never got in it after both going up with the lids. We are looking for a better result from tonight’s bets.
Our best bet is saved for very late in the night but set your alarm as it will be worth the wait. ZIPPING HAWK has drawn box 1 in race 11 and looks very difficult to beat. He scorched around the 460m trip at Geelong from box 1 and he will take full advantage of the draw again tonight.
SPARKY NEVEELK in race 3 will be our best each way bet. Starting from box 2 I believe Sparky will get the early break on them and get the job done. The black chaser from Gippsland has been flying of late and hopefully, his good form can continue in town. The obvious danger is the 1 Zipping Paris as she will be hitting the line hard from the inside draw.
Our best roughie bet comes up in race 4 the Grade 5 final over the 595m trip. I’m going with LIEBIG STREET who has drawn box 5. We are going to need a slice of luck but this son of Walk Hard will be hitting the line hard and can get the job done at some nice odds. We will have our eyes closed for the first 80 meters hoping he gets into a nice spot and if he does then look for him late.
Just to recap:
BEST BET: ZIPPING HAWK R11 B1
EACH WAY: SPARKY NEVEELK R3 B2
ROUGHIE: LIEBIG STREET R4 B5
Quaddie: 4,7,8/1,2,5,6/ 1,2,4/ 1,6 – $72 = 100%
Happy punting and good luck!
