Ricky Leonard is back with his Sandown Greyhounds Tips. Read below for the runners he is most keen on this Thursday night.
G’day punters!
I am dialling in on three bets and having a good go at them at Sandown this Thursday the 15th June.
Amazing dogs go around tonight in the three races that I am aiming at and I’m especially excited for the free for all race over 515m to see some of the dogs that will be major players in this year’s Melbourne Cup going head to head!
Sandown best bets below;
Race 6
I am just backing Zinzan Brooke (number 7) in this race – she is airborne and if she runs similar time to her last 2 starts then she can win.
Race 7
Reefton Treasure has emptied my pockets the past few weeks and I don’t think he is going as good as he was earlier in his career.
If you believe in Murphy’s law then back him because as soon as you usually get off dogs as talented as him they will show up and prove to you why you shouldn’t write off a champion dog.
However, I am going out on a limb and tipping Flyright (box 2). Rob Britton is a great trainer and I don’t see him entering the dog in a race as good as this if he didn’t think it could run the trip.
I think he will lead and Reefton Treasure will need all the breaks to run him down from box 7, I can see him finding some trouble and Flyright will be off and gone.
$6.50 is a very good price for Flyright!
Race 8
Bewildering (number 4) is the best greyhound in the country that is racing at the moment (well for another few months until Lightning Frank is back anyway!).
People say that box 4 is a concern but I think he is better suited in the middle lids than inside and the hoop arm has opened the racing up.
He is the best dog in the country in my eyes and with clear running, he will just win!
I won’t be having a quaddie and I won’t be backing dogs each way.
Just the three WIN bets for me for the night – enjoy the A-graders do their thing!
Cheers
