Thursday nights in winter at the Warrnambool Greyhound Club are what racing is all about. Craig Monigatti and his team continue to attract great fields of greyhounds and serve up amazing dinners for all patrons on these chilly evenings in the South West.
Get along to the Wannon rooms for a great meal and the team at Punting Stars will do our best to guide you on to a few winners to pay for the night.
Race 3- We start our punting off in a race that has my head fighting with my heart. My heart tells me to back Premier Zed in box 3 because he has contested a group final and is trained by a very talented young trainer in Jackson Bell but the reality is that he is a 15 start maiden and he just hasn’t found a way to win yet. Premier Zed is better than his record suggests and I would love to see him break through but my head tells me to back Infra Dig in box 5. He was pretty good last start at Geelong and was pretty close in good enough time. I would expect some natural improvement and I think he is a dog on the up. Infra Dig to win
Race 4 – We are going to back Kokoda Dreaming box 5 here. Won very well last week and ran super time a few starts back here. If he can get clear running and repeat those performances then he is more than good enough to win this race. Kokoda Dreaming the win

Race 6- The dog in Box 7 Print the Money was our best bet here last week and I like it even more this week. The wider the draw, the better for this dog and box 7 is a very good alley for this big powerhouse. He ran best of night time here last week and still found plenty of trouble in the run. This field is better than last week but I expect him to sit off this lot and finish off right over the top of them. With clear running he can smash the clock so I will be having a good go at this one- Print the money to win
Race 8- I am not betting here but will be trackside to watch two Group 1 dogs battle it out. Uphill Jill is one of the best bitches in the country and Kilty Express is getting back out in distance which is a massive plus for him. Super race, happy to sit on the sidelines and clap the winner.
Race 10-Think Theatrics Show in Box 8 is a good each way bet in my last betting race for the night. Owned by the best stud master in the land and trained by a gun local trainer, I suspect this dog has been waiting for an outside box and he gets one here over the 390m. The money comes for dogs in this stable when they are ready to win and I suspect the $5 might not be on offer at box rise but I am having an each way bet now and locking in the fixed price for a small bet in my last betting race for the night. Theatrics Show each way (if odds allow)
Best bet- Race 6 #7 Print the Money
Best Roughie- Just have it on Print the Money 🙂
Good punting,
