Well the sun is out here at Warrnambool on Wednesday the 2nd of August, which is in total contrast to the past few meetings here. We have done our best to find a few winners to build a bank for Saturday night at the Meadows where all of the good dogs will be in attendance.
Race 2
Was really keen on backing Gehring Bale in this race however, the 4 scratchings that came out today have seen him from $3.50 into $1.40. Wont be betting but think the dog will win some races along the way
Race 3
Something small on Spring Baker in box 6. Not convinced the rest of these are much good and looks as though the 450m won’t be any trouble. Has had two starts at the distance without any joy however, they were his first two starts and I am happy to put a line through them as a learning period. He has matured a lot since then and was impressive last week at this track over the 390m.
Spring Baker to win (currently $3.50 on bet365)
Race 4
Going to run with the dog in box 3 here- Crymelon Kit. Think it can lead them out from box 3 and hold on to get the chocolates
Crymelon Kit to Win
Race 8
Very keen on Crazy Jo Jo in box 1 in this race. Absolutely exploded from the boxes here last week and held the favourite in this race in box 2 comfortably throughout. Drawn to lead again and I think the $5 and $2 the place currently on offer with bet 365 is way over the odds.
Crazy Jo Jo a decent each way bet
Race 9
With an ounce of luck here I think that Chardy in box 4 can upset the favourite in box 7. The litter brother to last weeks Maturity winner Mepunga Blazer is a super high speed greyhound with a heap of ability. Still can be a bit tardy early however, I think if he can break even from the lids with the rest of the bunch then he is the fastest greyhound in the race. Did a lot wrong last week but still won easy enough.
Chardy to win
Best Bets
Best bet – Race 9 #4 Chardy
Best each way – Race 8 #1 Crazy Jo Jo
