The second installment of our NFL preview has arrived. Check out our AFC East Betting Preview below!
The NFC East was one of the leagues most surprising divisions last year with both the Cowboys and Giants proving to be above average and advancing to the playoffs easily.
This year sees both Big Blue and America’s Team as the favorites to advance once again.

The AFC East Team Overview
New England Patriots
Last year’s Super Bowl winning Patriots (still can’t believe Atlanta blew that game) enter 2017 as the ‘team to beat’ once again.
With Bill Belichick at the helm and Tom Brady showing little sign of slowing down how could you possibly argue that they aren’t the number one team in Football.
Incredibly, they didn’t lose a regular season game on the road last season and finished last year as the number one ranked overall DVOA team in Football.

The key to this Patriot season is staying healthy and the defense remaining ‘solid’ and they’ll be serious Super Bowl contenders once again.
PROJECTED: 11-5 and AFC East Division winners

Miami Dolphins
The Fins were lucky at stages last year in terms of winning games from tricky spots but they were hampered by injury.
Adam Gase is a seriously good coach and Jay Cutler is an underrated pickup who we believe will be able to at the very least replace Ryan Tannehill’s production this season.
They’ve got playmakers on both sides of the ball and if anyone in this division has upside and x-factor, it’s the Dolphins

They are capable of winning 11 games and at 8-1 probably worth a small bet to win the division.
The Patriots have dominated for so long and it looks like the market has finally overreacted, they are too short at $1.14 to win the AFC East and the value lies with the well-coached Fins.
PROJECTED: 9-7
Buffalo Bills
Last year’s Bills season had it all! A typical Buffalo rollercoaster that once again resulted in the Bills missing the playoffs.
At times the offense sang like a bird and at other times they couldn’t move the Football.
The defense entered the season with T5 like hype yet finished the season ranked 26th in defensive DVOA.
Injury Update: Jordan Mathews has a chip fracture in his sternum and will be listed as week to week. #BillsCamp pic.twitter.com/GDuqXm2sHG

They have more talent than the Jets but clearly less than both the Dolphins and Patriots, very hard to see them winning the division.
Their ceiling is probably a wild card spot and the floor could be a T5 pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
PROJECTED: 7-9
New York Jets
2016 was a long season for Jets fans and it’s very difficult to conjure up a situation in which 2017 will be much better.
They ranked last (32nd) in overall DVOA (31st on offense and 21st on defense) and haven’t made enough moves in the offseason to move the needle.
A message was sent on Monday.

They are a legitimate contender for the worst record in Football. Best case would probably be seven wins but it does seem a pipe dream!
PROJECTED: 5-11
