Flemington Tips for Saturday the 16th of September. Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes Day!
Rail in the True position for the entire circuit with the chance of some rain over the next 36 hours.
The track drains incredibly well and a bit of rain normally results in the surface playing perfectly.
Depending on how much we get they might get off the fence a little bit. Around the circle horses in the up and off position will be well suited
Flemington Tips 16th September
Race 6 #1 I Am A Star @ $5.00
Quality mare who has found the perfect race here and rates very highly. Damien Oliver goes on board and she maps perfectly. Very confident she runs top three and the $5+ that is out there at the moment is a sizeable overlay. Betting up as she is simply better than this field and maps to win the race.
Race 7 #9 Hey Doc @ $14.00/$3.20
The Doc goes in again! We thought his run last start was full of merit when perhaps not ridden perfectly and he should be able to get good control of this race early. He did win an Australian Guineas at this track and trip six months ago. Hartnell is the one to beat and priced fairly. We want to be with the Doc on the 1 x 3 basis here.

Race 9 #7 Hardham @ $7.50
Hardham has always been a horse we’ve had time for and last prep he was able to fulfill some of that promise with victory in the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes at Moonee Valley over 2040m. His run first up over unsuitable trip was sound and the 1600m at Flemington suits him nicely. He’s clearly got more upside than most of this field and with a genuine tempo expected he can slot into the right spot in running and be very hard to hold out.
