Terrific card for Moe Cup Day but with potential rain around we do need to tread carefully. At this stage it isn’t due until after lunch and it really comes down to luck in regards to how much rain the track will receive.

Race 2 #5 Moonlight’s Reward @ $10.00
Doesn’t appear to be much quality in this maiden so happy to have something on the horse with experience who gets Callow jumping on and maps to be one of few horses up on the speed. $3.10 the place with Sportsbet at time of writing. Great 1 x 3 bet in small field.

Race 5 #7 Ansianna @ $6.50 & #4 Go One Better$26.00 & #9 I Love Champagne $17.00
A race I’m really keen to play in. Ansianna just sets up perfectly here, maps well, fit and should be in the finish at the price. Go One Better blinkers on and presses forward, enormous price while I Love Champagne who won well at maiden grade last start can give cheek again. Mainly place bets on the two roughies and a nice bet Ansianna.
Race 7 #2 Big Memory @ $20.00
Just have to have a little something on Big Memory tomorrow who ran better than the form guide will suggest second up. Blinkers go on today up to a much more suitable distance range. Maps sweetly in behind the speed and the $5.50 to place with UBet looks over the odds.

**If Shockaholic gets out past $6 and the track stays Good in Race 8 have something small on. There is enough speed engaged for him to get the right run down in grade and out to 1600m.

Really keen here, probably the best bet of the day. If there is some rain and the track moves into the soft range then we only get more confident. Drawn soft so Buckets Moor will push forward and hopefully lead – expecting plenty of improvement from the Moonee Valley run and he should give a good sight. $3.50 the place on offer at a number of shops is appealing.
