Team Golf on the PGA Tour is always a lot of fun. This year’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans is shaping up to be a ripper!
The teams have been picked and the format has been set (see below) – all is readiness for a great golf spectacle.
Teams will use the common foursomes (alternate-shot) format in Rounds 1 and 3, and best-ball in Rounds 2 and 4.
The field will be cut to low 35 teams and ties after Friday’s play.
In the case of a tie following 72 holes, a playoff would ensue at the 18th hole using the better-ball format.

Our best value betting plays for the Zurich Classic
Luke Donald and Jamie Lovemark are a match made in heaven.
It’s the right combination of distance and accuracy off the tee and Donald’s brilliant touch close to home.
They are going out early on Thursday and the $41 for them to be the leader after Round 1 is very appealing.
Day and Fowler rank the highest as a group and deserve to be favourites, but there doesn’t appear to be much value in the price ($6-$7).
Grace and Oosthuizen rate highly and look a solid Top 10 or 20 bet while Rose and Stenson would be our top pick if Henrik was fit and firing.
Happy to bet around them at the current price though.
Day and Fowler at $1.90 to beat Rose and Stenson looks a great tournament match bet as does Donald and Lovemark to beat Bradley and Steeler at $1.90.
