The Meadows meeting scheduled for tonight looks set to be an intriguing one with some genuine group performers lining up on the card.
I’m of the opinion that a few of the short priced favorites should prove pretty hard to reel in but we will do our best to find some value outside of those races.
Tips for my best betting races listed below!
Race 2
Mepunga Fame (6)- Going to open the night with an each way bet on this dog who will really appreciate the drop in class. Was uncharacteristically ordinary last start but this looks like a good race and provided it gets a clear alley, I think Mepunga Fame will be finishing over the top of them late at around $7. Mepunga Fame Each way
Race 3
Chezzy Allen (5)- I am pretty keen on Chezzy Allen in race 3 and if the $3 odds are still on offer at box rise then he will see some of our money. Chezzy Allen to win
Race 4
Ando’s Mac (7)- Last year’s Melbourne Cup winner returns to the Meadows Now under the watchful eye of Anthony Azzopardi, he doesn’t have a super record being winless at the Meadows from 5 outings but he has faced much tougher fields than this and should be winning. Ando’s Mac to win.
Race 5
Suffragette (6)- Recent Group 2 winner and star in the making. Think it should just jump to the front and win and we will be on here. Suffragette to win
Race 7
Reefton Treasure (5)– Is one of the most talented middle distance dogs in the country and with clear running should prove too strong back to 600m. He will be short but should be too good for these Reefton Treasure to win
Race 9
Pepper Fire (4)- Will appreciate this drop in class and I believe it can upset the short priced favorite in box 8. Will need to ensure the 8 doesn’t cross and she has the early speed to do so. If she starts at the quoted $4.00 then we will be having some of that. Pepper Fire to win
BEST OF THE NIGHT – I can’t split Suffragette and Reefton treasure- whoever gives me the best price will have my best bet
QUADDIE (RACES 5/6/7/8)- 6/ 1,2,6,7 /5/1,2,4,6,7,8 $50 Quaddie will get you 48%
Good punting,
RL
