Four semifinals of the Group 1 Peter Mossman at Wentworth Park are on tonight with some of the best greyhounds in the country trying to qualify for the $75,000 to the winner final next week.
Wentwork Park Tips and assessment below provided by Matt Lanigan.
SEMI FINAL 1: The quickest heat winner from last week LUCKY CHAP lines up from box 7 in semi final 1. He has drawn perfectly again and looks a put in take out job. The one to watch is UNPRECEDENTED from the Thompson kennels who jumps from box 2. If he can get clear running to the first turn he could give Lucky Chap a run for his money.
SUGGESTIONS:
LUCKY CHAP WIN
UNPRECEDENTED EACH WAY
SEMI FINAL 2: This looks to be another put in take out job with MISTER TWISTER drawing the red and looks to be very difficult to beat. The Jason Mackay trained chaser looks like he will be leading and running some serious time. Get on!
SUGGESTIONS:
MISTER TWISTER WIN
SEMI FINAL 3: This looks a cracking race and a difficult one to work out where they’ll all be positioned on the first turn but I’m going with the 4 ASTON DEE BEE. He was absolutely huge last week and I believe if he can get the start right he will be super hard to beat. Obvious danger will be UP HILL JILL in box 1 but happy to have my money on ASTON DEE BEE.
SUGGESTIONS:
ASTON DEE BEE WIN
SEMI FINAL 4: The final chance for greyhounds to make it through to next weeks Group 1 final. The box draw has worked in perfectly for PATCH ADAM and he will be extremely hard to beat. My only concern with him is he can miss the kick and might get shuffled back so I’m also liking the 8 CORRUPT MILLONS to run a place at odds. Box 8 is a very difficult box to win from at wenty but I think it will get a good cart across and run a bolter.
SUGGESTIONS:
PATCH ADAM WIN
CORRUPT MILLONS PLACE
It looks a night where the favorites will be hard to beat but as the saying goes “a short odds winner is better than a long odds loser”
