Horse Racing Tips for Ballarat Cup Day, this Saturday the 25th of November.
Rail Position: Out 3m 600m – WP, True Remainder
Dual Track Meeting: Y
Track Condition: Good 4
Weather: Overcast
Penetrometer: NA
Track Information: Inspection 8AM 22/11;
The track hasn’t had a great deal of racing on it and this is the clubs marquee day – we expect the track to play well.
There is the chance of some thunderstorms between now and race time but the warm weather and wind will also play a part. Hard to imagine it starting worse than Good unless a decent chunk of rain comes down.
Ballarat Cup Tips 25th Nov
Race 2 #14 Creativity @ $4.80
Confident that this filly has the smarts to progress beyond this grade. That is something we can’t say about the majority of her competitors. She has trialed well leading into this and the ideal draw looks ideal. Really not sure how the market and big teams will treat her, leaning towards getting a bigger price later so only having half of the stake on early.

Race 6 #3 Royal Ace @ $5.00
Love the fact he has drawn barrier one as it should mean Ethan Brown is positive from the gate and he can settle in the first six or so. If he does that I’m confident he’ll be in the finish. Has the talent to run a number most of these can’t and the recent run at Moonee Valley was very solid given the pattern.
Race 8 #7 Mr Garcia @ $3.00
and the Ballarat Cup winner is….We were very bullish about this bloke on Cup Day and then he was scratched and entered into an even easier race on Oaks day in which he bolted in. He was cold late in betting that day after being hit early and paraded like he had plenty of improvement left. The main concern here is if the Weir stable is off the boil post carnival but Ballarat is one of his ‘home tracks’ and Mr Garcia should have too much class. Only danger we see is the top weight Antonio who we will likely save on.
Horse Racing Opinion: When is the best time to bet?
Race 7 #12 Ozi Choice @ $12.00
We tipped him on Cup Day at huge odds and he was truck loaded. He ran super but didn’t cop the best ride and didn’t receive the best of luck. Really surprised to see him go up a double-figure quote again and expect him to be well backed, again! He’s tough, he maps well and is capable of being in the finish.
Race 10 #3 Suspense @ $7.00
Love the form line this bloke brings to the table for a race like this. The Snowden Team are as good a trainer operation as we have in Australia. This bloke should be able to come across and sit in the first four, perhaps even outside the leader as there isn’t too much speed engaged in the middle barriers. Great each-way price currently.
