Caulfield Tips for Saturday the 14th of October. Caulfield Guineas Day!
Rail will is in the True position and the track should play very well. A little bit of rain throughout the week should top things off nicely and make the surface good for racing.
Caulfield Guineas Day Tips 14th October
Race 2 #7 Je Sui Tycoon @ $41.00/$11.00
Quality galloper who worked home well first-up when the race wasn’t run to suit. 1200m shouldn’t pose any issues and we are getting big odds. Showed enough in first-up (bad rides aside) to suggest she is up to a race like this. Tough gate and Parnham will likely ride her stone cold but if the race shape pans out and she can get in the three wide line cart in, she’s capable of going close.

Race 5 #5 Duke Of Brunswick @ $10.00
Should prove to be an interesting betting race this one. Duke Of Brunswick has drawn out but maps to get a nice cart across and if he can get on the back of one of the leading bunch he will give a very good sight. Loves Caulfield and loves this distance. A slight cut in the ground preferred but he looks over the odds at $10. Happy to play him on the 1 x 3 basis as it is very hard to see him running poorly. I was ready to back Oregon’s Day but have a feeling she’ll be ridden too negatively from that wide gate.
Race 8 #6 Royal Symphony @ $4.20
The best part about tipping one in the main race is that there are a million promos out there for the punters to take advantage on. You could probably get $400+ on Royal Symphony in promo’s alone if you have some clean accounts. Maps very well, the run last start wasn’t nearly as bad as it appeared, strong SP profile, proven over 1600m, set for the race – he’s a 7/2 chance on my figures and have taken what we could at the early prices.

Race 9 #8 Comin Through @ $11.00 & #4 Tom Melbourne @ $7.50
Wow wee, what a cracking race! Plenty of chances but two clear overlays after we finished pricing up the race. A few of the ones with Melbourne form could be suspect at the end of a mile and the two horses coming out of the Epsom set up nicely and rate highly on our figures. We are backing both, including Tom Melbourne for the first time in a very long time.
